I want to share a quick story with you that happened to me awhile ago. A few years ago, I was outside at a local track doing a running workout. There happened to be someone else there walking around the track as I was sweating and breathing so profusely that he probably thought I needed an ambulance.
About 20 minutes into my workout, the person asked me a question that will stick with me for the rest of my life. He asked with the highest curiosity, “What are you training for?” Without hesitation, I answered,
“For Life!” After I smiled at him and he laughed, I continued on with my workout.
The moral of the story is this, I wasn’t training for specific sport in school, because I was already done with school. I wasn’t training for a local 5 or 10k, but I was training for Life. Having the opportunity just to live another day, and not compromising my physical activity because I am at a certain age number.
In closing, I want you to Live to Train, and Train to Live.
